Meet The Operations and Human Relations Manager

Allison

Allison has served over six years at iSight Family Eye Care, growing from Optometric Assistant into her current role overseeing the practice’s day-to-day operations and team development. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Hospitality and Restaurant Operations Management from Humber College.

As Operations & People Relations Manager, Allison is a servant leader: her role exists to support the team so the team can fully support you. She is responsible for ensuring every patient touchpoint — booking, check-in, pre-testing, dispensing, and follow-up — meets a consistent standard of care, and she serves as a trusted point of contact should any concern
ever arise during your visit. Behind the scenes, Allison builds the training, mentorship, and operational frameworks that allow every team member at iSight to grow into their full potential, because a well-supported team is what makes reliable, attentive patient care possible at every visit, every time.

Allison’s favourite quote is “I think therefore I am” by Descartes, a reminder that through neuroplasticity, we can train ourselves to think, see, and feel positively.

Fun fact: Allison once completed a 14-hour hike to Garibaldi Lake in Vancouver, BC. At home, she’s mom to two “feral felines,” Momo and Ginko, who keep her humble and her furniture well-scratched.

Meet The Optometric Assistants

Quynh Chi

Quynh Chi has worked at iSight Family Eye Care since day 1 – July 2, 1999.  She takes ongoing courses in patient care and in the newest development in lens and frame technology.  She is a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant.  She also oversees the frame boutique by keeping up with current trends.  As a strong dispenser, Quynh Chi, in conjunction with the doctors, loves to assist our patients at the frame boutique to find the best frames and appreciate lens that best suits their needs.

Outside of work, she enjoys rocking out at concerts with her husband, baking, gardening, traveling, going for walks and spending time with friends and family.

Andy

Andy (ND) has worked at iSight Family Eye Care for 3+ years. Andy brings to the iSight team exceptional customer service gained from her experience within the hospitality industry. Being an excellent Certified Optometric Assistant, Andy also takes on duties of a Team Lead and Human Resource Coordinator to ensure every patient was taken care at the highest quality.

She strives to provide her expanded knowledge about visual health and to create the most memorable experiences for every patient. Her favourite moments are when patients say how much they love the beautiful frames and unique glasses that she helped pick out for them. Those moments add extra joy to her day.

Living her best life every day, Andy believes that “life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it”. This is why she chooses to do all the good that she can, for as many people as she can, in all the ways that she can, and for as long as she can.

Hiking, going on road trips, exploring new places, trying new things, cooking and spending quality time with family and friends are things that Andy enjoys most when she is away from the office. She also loves to participate in community volunteer activities. Andy is proud to have been a blood donor for the past two years and plans to continue for many more years to come.

Sally

I stand by the phrase “it is what it is” – not because it reflects who I am, but because it’s ironically the opposite of who I usually am. As someone who tends to overthink, the notion that some things are simply unmalleable makes it easier for me to accept them. It’s a mindset that helps simplify life a little bit.

That mindset quietly supports my favorite daily task in my early 20s: self-discovery. I am still on the path of exploring my style, tastes, and passions, including my growing interest in optometry. As someone who majored in life sciences and developed a keen interest in optometry during my freshman year, I find that working in this field offers the perfect blend of my interests in healthcare and my desire to make a meaningful impact. I enjoy learning about pre-testing, OCT scans, glasses dispensing and applying this knowledge in practical ways to better assist patients.

Outside of work, I love relaxing at home with a good book, discovering new shows and vlogs, and exploring different music genres. I’m also a bit competitive, especially when it comes to board games, and indoor sports.

Although I’m still in the process of learning and observing, my drive to continuously improve, and my personal competitiveness for knowledge motivate me on my journey to become a well-rounded optometry assistant. The joy I get from helping others fuels my growth, and I’m excited to keep developing my skills to provide the best care possible for patients.

Daniella

Daniella joined iSight with a genuine passion for eye care and a commitment to creating positive and caring experiences for all patients. What draws her most to optometry is the opportunity to meaningfully impact people’s day-to-day lives. As an aspiring optometrist, she loves taking on challenges that deepen her understanding of eye health and strengthen her patient care and communication skills. She finds joy in helping people feel comfortable and supported in their appointments, from guiding patients through testing to explaining how to use products in a way that feels simple and reassuring.

She lives by the phrase “good things take time”. For her, it’s a reminder to be patient with herself, to grow steadily, and to trust the process, both in her career and in the way she connects with people. In her free time, she volunteers at an ophthalmology clinic, teaches crochet, and loves trying new foods. Whether she’s learning, creating, or sharing something she enjoys, she brings the same warmth and curiosity that define her work at iSight!

Hoang

Hoang joined the iSight Family Eye Care team with a strong passion for helping others and making patients feel right at home. Hoang has been inspired by the quote, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift—that is why it is
called the present.” While living fully in the present every single day is still a work in progress, that mindset motivates Hoang to bring positive energy and thoughtful care to every patient interaction.

As a newcomer to Mississauga, Hoang is eager to get to know the area. Outside the clinic, Hoang stays active by playing sports, going on long outdoor walks, and traveling to new places whenever possible. If you have a favorite local park, scenic walking trail, or hidden gem restaurant, Hoang would love to hear your top Mississauga recommendations during your next visit!
